Comic Wednesday – Denver Comic Con!

It’s Comic Wednesday here on Girls of Geek, and today we will be talking about an exciting event that is happening in Denver next year. Denver is getting it’s very own Comic Con in June and I couldn’t be more excited!

It will be held at the convention center, which means lots of space, but gives me a bit of worry that it might feel stretched out and bare. I’m hoping that there will be enough to do in all the space that they rent out. Unlike Starfest (which has its own ComicFest), Denver Comic Con so far seems to be focused on comic books alone.

The passes are already for sale and the hotel is already booking out rooms. I have to say that for a convention it is priced very well. A three day pass for this convention is only $45! I’m hoping that the price will continue to stay in that range as the convention continues throughout the years.

So far they have some pretty cool names attached to it, such as Gail Simone, Jason Aaron , Katie Cook, and Sean Gordon Murphey. More and more names keep getting added to the list, and I am curious to see who else they will be able to bring in for it.

I can’t wait for the Merch Room at this event! There are two different merch rooms at Starfest, one in the ComicFest area and the main Starfest one. The ComicFest merch room is much smaller, but still packed to the brim. I am wondering how much larger the merch room will be at ComicCon, and what other goodies they will have to offer!

As far as conventions go for me, this one isn’t right around the corner yet. I look forward to keeping an eye on their website and to see the new additions that they put up.
