Denver ComicCon Promotion

Hello!

I had the coolest thing happen to me last night while out at a movie! Every month I go to something called Mile High Scifi, it is similar to MST3K in which two comedians stand in the back of a theater and crack jokes during mostly bad 80s flicks. It is held at The Denver Film Center, which is a swanky theater that has a full service bar. Our group is sitting down enjoying a drink together when a stranger approaches our table with flyers. He hands me one and I look down at it only to see that it is a flyer for Denver Comic Con! He told us a little bit about it, mostly the date and that we should come, before walking off. Since we’ve been counting down for Denver Comic Con for a few days now, and have a video blog for (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXxZWcb5_Ng&context=C3c5dcbaADOEgsToPDskLD2EOpnLbkuJ3lBNoaM4_0) I was extremely pleased! Its good to see that Denver Comic Con is starting to promote at different events, especially events that have a geeky following. I’ve said before that Denver Comic Con is already turning out to be a beast of a convention. The website is updated often with news and announcements, the twitter and facebook accounts are extremely active, tons of amazing guests have already been announced and they’re still not done announcing, it’s just amazing. I just know that with everything they’re doing right now Denver Comic Con is going to be a huge success this year. Denver is a fairly active comic/art city, so it’s about time we get our own official Comic Con! At first I was a bit worried that with them renting such a large space and it being the first year that it might feel a bit spread out/empty; but with the amount of guests they’re getting and the fact that the Artist Alley Tables already sold out (if you are interested in getting one and missed out there is a waiting list) I am not concerned at all. I will admit that I was wrong in ever having a worry! They are going all out for this convention and I for one cannot wait to check it out. If you haven’t already follow them on Twitter (@DenverComicCon) , like them on Facebook (www.facebook.com/DenverComicCon) check out the website/sign up for the email newsletter (www.DenverComicCon.com . It is great to see Denver Comic Con already promoting the event, but word of mouth is priceless. The more people that attend the convention the more fun we will all have, so please share the website information and tell all your friends about it! Here is the flyer that I got:
