Comic Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday!!! What books is everybody picking up today? I am going to start a new feature for Comic Wednesday from now until Denver Comic Con I am going to be featuring one of the guests attending the convention. If there is a particular guest you’d like to see featured on this blog please leave it in the comments below or feel free to email/tweet us! It is hard to decide where to start because there are so many brilliant confirmed guests, so every week I will be picking a name or two at random. As of this morning there are 5 new confirmed guests! I am going to be starting by featuring  a newly confirmed guest.

Ethan Nicolle is the complete package as a writer/illustrator/artist. His work history includes Cartoon Network and Disney, just to name a few. He currently has an animated pilot optioned by Cartoon Network. Ethan is an Eisner Award Nominee for Best Humor Publication in 2009. Ethan is the creator of a web comic called Axe Cop, he works on this comic with his 6 year old brother. I am a huge fan of web comics, I think that they are a great way to get your name and work out there and they really build up a fanbase. The website for Axe Cop just celebrated it’s 2 year anniversary and you could lose a whole day clicking through everything that is posted on it, which I highly recommend you do!  What I really love about Ethan is that he is a wonderful example of raw talent, clearly when you have it you have it regardless of the training you’ve received.
